The Evolution of PBB Theme Song.

Hello Philippines and hello World. Ngayon ko lang nahanap sa YouTube ang song na kung saan daw ibinase ang melody ng PBB theme song “Pinoy Ako” by the Orange & Lemons. I’m sure may makikita kang similarities.

Ito naman ang pahayag ng Star Records:

Star Records’ Jamie Hipe admitted that the band may have been influenced by The Care but after studying both songs they resolved that each has its own identity. “We studied the two songs and concluded that they are two different songs. Orange and Lemons may have been influenced by The Care but no, they did not copy The Care’s song. Yes, they wrote the melody and used ‘Chandelier’ as their peg,” stated Jamie of Star Records. -Manila Bulletin Article

Bruce was signing T-shirts for Slovenian fans

The profit from the sold T-shirts will be put on Bruce’s account and will help him and his family.

Bruce is very popular among the Slovenes. On the web page www.24ur.com/bigbrother his numerous fans expressed the wish to help him and his family in the Philippines. The life of Bruce, who is the oldest of three children, was marked by the death of his father and the injury that made him end his basketball career. After his father’s death Bruce must take care of his family, since he is the only one earning money, and thus he is used to hard work.

The Slovenens were moved by his sad life story. Bruce was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the Slovenian fans and signed 100 Big Brother T-shirts. On 90 T-shirts he only wrote his autograph; on the other 10 he also wrote a special message.

Slovenian girls love the Philippine guest

A comment on the Slovenian web page: “Many mothers would want him to be their son in law.”

According to the results of the survey, published on the web page www.24ur.com/bigbrother, Bruce is the handsomest man in the Slovenian Big Brother house. Slovenians would like to announce him as Mister of the Slovenian Big Brother house.Bruce is also very popular, which is probably the result of his kindness and compassion for other people.

We must admit that his looks probably helped him gain all that popularity too. Bruce is really a great guy! Maybe we will keep him!

Adobo: National Food of the Philippines?

Monumetal talaga ang pahayag ni Bruce these days. Grabe, magandang araw pala, Kapamilya. Sa interview ni Bruce with the Slovenian reporter, bago sya pumasok sa loob ng SBB house, sinabi ni Bruce that he will cook, daw, Adobo: the National Food in the Philippines, for his Slovenian housemates. Grabe, si Bruce palang ang nakapag Define kung ano talaga ang ating Philippine National Food. He he. Adobo pala.

Kaya, naki research na rin ako sa Wikipedia kung totoo ba talaga na Philippine National Food ang Adobo. What a shock, ito yung nabasa ko:

  • Adobo is eaten by virtually all Filipinos, regardless of social standing, home province or region…It is for all intents and purposes the national dish of the Philippines. -Wikipedia

Wow, tama pala ang definition ni Bruce about Adobo, ha? Well, Idon’t know, pero I think wala pang existing law sa Pilipinas ngayon declaring Adodo as our National Dish. Pero of course, I think papayag naman ang karamihang Pinoy kung sakasakaling i-declare ang Adodo na National Dish ng Pilipinas. Wag naman Daing/Tuyo/Bulad ang gawing National Food. Adobo nalang para mas sosyal. He he. Anyway, ito na yung interview ni Bruce about Adobo.

At heto na rin yung video ni Bruce, cooking the National Food of the Philippines. Definition: courtesy of Bruce.

ABS-CBN: Ang Tunay na No.1

Dear Kapamilya,

Just in case you missed it, a double spread, full color ads about ABS-CBN’s NATIONWIDE LEADERSHIP were published in three (3) broadsheets (Inquirer, Philippine Star and Manila Bulletin) and one (1) tabloid (Abante) last April 22, 2007.

The studies that confirmed our nationwide leadership are:

1.) AGB-NMR National Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) – March 4, – 31, 2007. It declared that ABS-CBN is the leading TV station nationwide. Registering an overall share of 47% vs. its nearest competitor 35%, ABS-CBN is very comfortably ahead of GMA-7 by 12 rating points.

2. The Neilsen Media Research Nationwide Media Landscape Study in November 2006, which revealed that 91% regularly watch ABS-CBN nationwide. In terms of preference, the study corroborated that the station is the favorite station nationwide at 62%. As a primary source of information ABS-CBN is the most sought after nationally (77%), and its News and Current Affairs group as the most trusted (66%) as well.

3. The Nielsen TV Diary (March 2007) and PSRCs Day After Recall (4th quarter, 2006). These studies supported our national leadership claim as the studies disclosed that ABS-CBN leads the way in channel shares across all 13 non-metered regional TV areas nationwide.

The various nationwide studies showed that ABS-CBN has indeed earned a huge audience viewership in the country.

Congratulations to all.
